Florence and Manuel have always been in the hotel and restaurant business, having worked in prestigious houses in England, France and Switzerland, they took over their first hotel in Aussois in 2007 with a couple of associates, they held and maintained it for 9 years of nice meetings and exchanges.
Following the sale at the end of 2016, there was no question of leaving this profession which always animates and motivates them. Fervent defenders of independent and family hotels of quality and in love with nature and the mountains, they are looking for a small hotel at the foot of the slopes to live with their 3 children and to welcome in all simplicity and conviviality their hosts. After a lot of research, many unforeseen events, the takeover of the hotel Les Mélèzes finally came to fruition at the end of August 2017.
In the Alps, in the heart of the village of Valloire-Galibier at an altitude of 1430 metres, at the foot of the Sétaz cable car and a magnificent ski and mountain circus, there is no better setting to reborn a beautiful and ageing establishment.
They are thus launched into a new adventure that involves major investments and loans with the complete renovation of the rooms and bathrooms, the mandatory and essential standards, the creation of a wellness area to meet the requirements of a 3-star hotel and the expectations and needs of their guests.
Reopening for the 2017/2018 winter season, keeping the spirit and values that they hold dear: simplicity, authenticity, friendliness, quality and professionalism.
